Hola and Hi everybody!
*if you don't care a thing of my excuses jump to the next paragraphjzfdgazrgor :dummy:
*If you don't wanna read it all, just check the bolds you lazeeee!
Here i'm back from school having my mind twisted from all the thing i'm worried about college and else D= . But giving me a break from responsibilities and without giving them up i wanted to write a journal to make some question and to keep ya tune up 'bout me, obviously only if ya wanted to know.
as i know, you have almost all be in middle of classes and had a really nice holidays before…hope =P. but here in the Argentina are becoming to finish classes :la: and that's the reason i am pretty busy, plus my English classes that is my last day of it, yeah!...*sob**sniff* and some performance(s) for the end of the year. I hate it!, i can't even continue with the commissions =(. About tumblr, i'm not going to have one until holidays(or until i finish the commissions)
Ok, i've bored you enough =P, let's go with the main reason of this journal.

How Original is your Character?
I have been thinking a lot of times about it and it's time to make my Original Character (or better known as O.C.)…ok, i already have my O.C.(chuka) but i mean a sonic style original character. Which take us to the first question:
Original Characters in Sonic Style are O.C.(original characters)  Or  F.C(fan characters)? Why? What's the difference between them?.
It's something curious that people who have their sonic style characters prefer to call them OC rather than FC for some reason why…~ the character was created "originally" by you(the owner, the drawer) but in an already existing style "plus" your(or the artist's) own style. I mean, when we draw in "Sonic Style" we're not going to draw everybody just the same way, and that's great!, we have seen thousand ways to draw the same hedgehog :  my style, :iconnintendrawer:'s style, :iconsevencolors-alice:'s style, :iconsyaming-li:'s style, :icontigerfog:'s style, and more!(i wont mention everybody … i'm abit lazeee) but none will be the same as someone's other! Not even between the different drawers in Archie Comics.  Personally , i take sonic style as what is manga style or cartoon style =).

However you like to call it is ok… for me =P
But now, imagine that you have your own character…
How would you present your brand new character?without die trying of course
(or in case you have already have and showed the world your character, How you did it?)
Obviously, drawing your own character is not the same as drawing an already existing character, you won't have the same "acceptance" as a famous character, but will let you improve in your imagination of a character and a self acceptancethat is way better of your chara. But it DOES is a challenge to start and not an easy step. Some deviants like to relate their own characters with the main characters that is a good way to start, or to make a comic about its story could be a catching strategy too.

Of course, before even starting with these previous points , you should have your own chara!
Implying not just and only a drawn idea of it, no, but an original name , clothes,  powers, relationships with other main or fan characters,  story and personality is an important point to think about for your OC, always being original and creative.
The First Design is the first idea projected in the paper defining the animal, whether if it's male or female, colours ,clothes and some details.
Then we came up with a Name , which have to be original and simple. It's usually related with the powers of the character or its colour, but a never used name is way better as nothing, and to find it you have to make a list of all the possible names that can be used ,then go to the dA browser to check if there already exists a character with the name , if there is, then keep trying.
ThePowers or Abilities are one of the best part, here your imagination and creativity take a big part; the power/s should be great and credible , and always an unusual or never known power has more approve=),or it could be just an ability, such as martial arts or the use of a weapon.
When we talk about Relationships it's not only about couples, it's about the relation between all the characters and yours , whether they are friends or enemies , if the character is patient with one but totally annoying with others, or if it ignores some one and flirt with other ones, etc.
A good Story is how you are going to catch your viewers, and depending on it you will attract a respective kind of viewers.  A humorous story , a love story or an action story are the most recognized , you choose depending  on your likes and your character's Personality.  Usually, the main character of your story, or your main OC, will be representing yourself, but as you go creating new characters their personalities will change for each one, making them different from the others. Also influencing in their attitude, colours, powers, clothes and relations.
If you already have your own character and have passed through all these steps, please, tell us! We wanna get inspired =D
Who is your character? how is his story? How did you came up with his/her name? What about his powers/abilities?
Does your character represents you?
Do you still have your first original character?
Do you have any recommendations for me, or for the people out there who wants to start with their own stories/comics ?

Please comment! =)

I have too many to count right now, but they usually just pop into my head, then for the next few days I can't stop thinking about how I can relate them to canon characters (my main OC is Blaze's older sister, and another is Antinoe's half-brother) their story, personality, powers, and everything else. And then when my brain is finished it's like 'right...ONTO THE NEXT IDEA!!!' I don't make notes about them on paper, it's ALL in my head, and the best part...I forget NOTHING!
